The Elizabeth River Project Information
Fairfield drains into the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River, a key focus area for the environmental non-profit, The Elizabeth River Project.
The Elizabeth River Project offers a free River Star Home program where neighbors can receive a free garden flag for agreeing to do 7 things at home that help the health of the river from pledging to scoop the poop to keeping grease out of the sink.
There are over 4,300 participants throughout the Elizabeth River area working towards a cleaner river with this group.
